I am pretty confident that every woman (and some men) have this problem. You purchase jeans or pants you love, and then struggle trying to decide if they are going to be your “night” pants or your “daytime” wear. Why? Because you have to get them shortened to fit the occasion. Guess What? Hem Tape is the solution! You no longer have to buy jeans for heals AND jeans for flats. You can just use Hem Tape to shorten your bottoms and remove them back to their original state with this double sided tape which was made specifically for this reason!
Pros
- Easy to apply and remove
- Allows you to wear heels/flats
- 18 in 1 pack
- Doesn’t stick to fabric
- Fairly inexpensive ($12), especially when you are saving big bucks on other pants!
Cons
- If you are doing a lot of walking it might come undone, so plan to take some with you if you need to patch things up.

I am very short and have never in my life had a pair of pants that fitin length. I love this idea.
LOL. I do find myself wishing my pants were shorter to match my shoe of choose for that specific event.
Double sided hem tape is a great tool. I rarely use it anymore and thank you for the reminder.
This looks like a winner to me!
I LOVE IT!!! I usually have to cut and hem my pants on a sewing machine, but sometimes they shrink and then they are too short! My only concern would be that they would come undone when I was walking. I’m going to try it!! Where do you get it?
THANK YOU for the tip!!!
This is a great idea! I hate stepping on the back of my jeans.
Love this idea – I have have foolishly bought jeans where I have the same style in two lengths one for flats and one for heels ……
Sure, I like it! I would like anything that will keep me from threading a needle and actually SEWING anything!
You could always roll up the cuffs.
You know what? I never, ever have this problem. I’m so tall that I’m lucky to get trousers to fit me all the way up to my ankles, let alone them being long enough for me to hem. I’ve never in my life had to hem trousers. I often buy the ones with large hems that I can take down so that they’d fit. The problem is that I’m skinny, and long trousers tend to also come in large sizes. We can’t win, can we?
Yep…love it! I have a lot of tall shoes, but sometimes I just want flip flops with my jeans… (in warmer temps)

AWESOME IDEA!!!
I LOVE IT!
I think this is a great idea! I am 5’3″ and am always hemming my jeans, but not anymore!
Love this idea – just went to Bristols6.com to buy some! I really like how this is an easy way to change up the length without commitment.
I have used this and I love it! I usually take my jeans off when I put the strips on. I find it easier to get it placed well and it will stay for days!
Can I be honest? I have been doing this for years with duct tape. Although this sounds a bit more legitimate and less messy.
I have long legs so hardly ever encounter this problem, but my kids could use it.
